Started Roswell last night, been a looooooooong time. Pretty good, doing the oldskool one ep a week thing. Shiri Appleby was soooooooooooo pwetty (probably still is, she looked good in that one ep of Elementary she was in; I know she's still active I've just never seen her in anything else), so much so that you get past the slow bits just looking at her and going "she's sooooooooo pwetty."

For me, that is one of the shows like 'Heroes' and 'Eureka' - I got the box sets, never watched them, got rid of them, waited a few months / years, got the box sets again, never got round to watching them, got rid of them again, saw them in charity shops a few months later, got them again, never watched them, got rid of them etc

I still have no idea whether 'Roswell' is any good !!

Let's be honest vast majority of stuff today well pants,
Funny how we had 3 4 TV stations and so much to watch,
We have literally thousands and streaming sites and still struggle to watch,
Half the time you give up and watch something you've seen before,

Yrs ago when going video shop you would spend ages deciding what to watch because so much took your interest,
Now it takes ages because you're struggling to find something that does take your interest or you've seen.

That's part of the reason why we collect films cos we have always got something to watch because we struggle to find anything to watch on tv sky Netflix etc.

Don't get me wrong there is some good stuff out there today but its few and far between and half the time when we do watch something we tend to be disappointed or it just wasn't as good as we hoped.

Going off trailers in between BBC programmes, every series literally looks the same.

Aesthetically i mean. They all look like they've been shot on the same cameras.

Quite strange. It never used to be that way.

I really enjoyed Roswell even though most of the actors are much older than High school students! (The same as true with Buffy the Vampire Slayer and most US high school TV shows.)

I saw Shiri Appleby in an episode of ER, possibly around the same time as she was in Roswell, and remember she was and Charlie Wilson's War as one of the 'Angels' in his office. She is very attractive and talented, so it's a surprise that she hasn't had a more prolific career.

I started my blu rays of Blake's 7 and Box of Delights. Enjoyed both, the former more, looks very nice on blu, maybe I can get into this show at last. The latter I spent half the runtime trying to figure out who the kid's even younger sister was only to finally twig during the credits that it was Tiddler from Press Gang!

Pt 2 squid game,

It just doesn't quite have the same appeal as the first,
you'll get what I mean, I think the problem was they admitted they didn't plan for a second series, and just left it open, but because it was so successful they were kinda pressured and felt they had to make one, on that note alone I think they had no direction where they wanted to go with so had to make one,
The main concept of the story this time is for police to find where and who was behind it, and try to stop this yrs event, the guy who won went back in to help, but the plans failed, so he tries his best to stop the ppl from playing or getting killed, this time round after each game they did a vote, and they could have a choice opt out and go home or carry on.
I found there were too many annoying characters, and at times predictable,
It was decent enough, but only 7 episodes instead of 9, it just lacked that something from the first series, the games weren't as interesting, and there were only 3, but one was from the first series,
The last episode was the best, I won't reveal what happened to give away any spoilers, but season 3 will be the final one in 2025 sometime.

Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story.

Charting the life of Christopher Reeve who at 3 years old his parents split and never really supported by his father and went on to do stage. In 1977 he got the starring role as Clark Kent/Superman which catapulted him to stardom. In 1984 he starred in Anna Karenina in which he was allergic to horses but doped himself up in amphetamines and started his horse show jumping and then in 1995 he had his riding accident which left him paralysed, to the point of giving up and then finding smile and laugh again.

This was a great programme/documentary on a great actor with home movies of himself and his family plus snippets of interviews he gave and how he was loved by friends, family and other celebrities and his friendship with Robin Williams.

I enjoyed the first season of Squid Game but I felt it was too long a lot of episodes just dragged on like spending most of an episode deciding if they should step on a bridge or not. I also didn't see a point in a second season it's one of those things that comes along makes its impact and should of left in saying that I haven't seen the new season yet so maybe the fewer episodes will work for me.
