I've found a few good things in poundland over the years. The Keighley store had a good selection of the "Hardgore" horror releases including Jess Franco's "Nightmares Come at Night" (terrible film, but the DVD includes the full Eurotika documentary about Eurocine, complete with the original clips, well worth a quid).

They also had a selection of rather fun looking Bollywood films which were listed as having English subtitles, but turned out not to (I never bothered to give them back just gave them to an Indian friend), so don't buy any of the red boxed (Regal or Royal films) DVDs unless your Hindi is good.

Was that part of the Sony 'Fight Factory' series in the orange boxes? I've picked up quite a few of those in Poundland, some decent titles, but haven't seen that one.

I go in there once a week usually and it's been bloody awful. Only thing I've picked up is a copy of Death Sentence which I'll give to my Dad as part of his father's day present.

Nothing in Worthing too. Been dead for months although I did pick up Monster Maker yesterday which is part of the Cayman Classic Horror Collection (which originally came out on Halloween). I thought I'd got them all when they came out (bar the recalled titles)

monster maker was one of the recalled ones , interesting to see inside box the poundland logo in and list of titles in the series , still a few that never got released last haloween so keeping an eye out. Today in Poundworld ( the poor man's poundland ) at the metro centre I got some dvds which was a suprise as they usually have nothing in. got some recent released stuff;
house of the devil
mega pirahna
armageddon of the dead
blood of warriors
6 guns
phantom punch
down terrace

Aww crap, I was at the Metrocentre yesterday and forgot to have a look in! Did they have many copies of stuff?

I'd been waiting for a cheap copy of House of the Devil for ages and typically now have it rented on BD from Cinema Paradiso. Would probably pick up a dvd copy for £1 though if I could.
