It'll be hard to top Grindhouse's release of Pieces.

I wouldn't mind seeing decent DVDs of...

ADAM & EVE (1983, Enzo Doria/Luigi Russo)*
ATOR THE INVINCIBLE (1982, Joe D'Amato)
GUNAN, KING OF THE BARBARIANS (1982, Franco Prosperi)**
THE IRONMASTER (1983, Umberto Lenzi)
SWORD OF THE BARBARIANS (1982, Michele Massimo Tarantini)
THE THRONE OF FIRE (1983, Franco Prosperi)

* this was more a QUEST FOR FIRE re-run...
** Okay, so maybe no-one's ever really seen this one
Some of these are on that german only Barbarian boxset I linked to a few posts early. Surprisingly the transfers for them are great quality! Unfortunately there's no english language tracks or subtitles for them. Maybe Shameless can pick the transfers off them, and stick on some subtitles or track down the original english dubs? That would be a great release! The Ironmaster is one of the finest barbarian movies ever made.

If Shameless could lease all the rights for the complete package, then the UK public would be in for a treat Noss....excellent disc, ain't it....

That'd work, as it's not totally unheard of Grindhouse licensing out their product for release in other countries. The SirenVisual/VIP release of Cannibal Holocaust springs to mind.

Not sure it's one for Shameless but looking at other up and coming labels that this kind of title could work for. Most of the time though you're better making and controlling your own extras.

It looks like Boulevard Entertainment have the UK market rights with Pieces. Amazon are selling their release of it for a penny, so you know it must be good.
