Default Formula For A Murder

Hi all!

I was thinking lately how great it would be to see the obscure 80's giallo film Formula For A Murder get a Shameless release. With the recent ventures into cannibal movies and sexploitation, this would be a great way for Shameless to release something a little lesser known and go back to the genre we all love; the good ol' giallo!

The film stars David Warbeck and is a great Italian film with some very nice gory moments in too.

In fact, I couldn't help stick a couple of fake sleeves together quickly:

I'm sure you probably can do better

Found this poster too which I thought was pretty cool -

So what do you think? Anyone else think this great little giallo would be perfect for a Shameless release?

I can't seem to find a trailer on Youtube for it But I have found the very stylish and creepy opening few minutes...

Excellent suggestion. I'm sure Shameless do have access to this title, though by all accounts it's a pretty ropey print.

Shameless' first batch of releases featured some wonderful gialli. They've been pretty quiet of late, so how about this title ( or something similar ) to kick things off again?

I don't think I've seen this – I'll have to check my DVD collection to see if I own it under another title – but would love to see Shameless release a 'new' title, especially a giallo!

There are no English language DVD releases, unfortunately.

Those first batch of Shameless discs are among my most treasured releases, so it would be wonderful to have Formula For A Murder as part of a new Giallo series.

Rights issues and decent quality prints seem to be the main stumbling block, but there are so many unreleased gems out there. I'd love to see the likes of Amuck! Smile Before Death and The Forbidden Room ( amongst many others! ) get the Shameless treatment.

Or, seeing as Arrow and Shameless seem to have good contacts with Lamberto Bava, how about his Giallo You'll Die At Midnight?

In that case, I guess the only reason the title rings a bell is because it's on my list of gialli I NEED to see!
